Lions Club of Erode Midtown Charitable Trust,a charitable arm of Lions Club of Erode Midtown, has running already a Home for the Elderly at Koorapalayam just 13 KMs away from Erode, where 95 elders, who are able to maintain themselves, are living comfotably enjoying Balanced Nutritious Food, Spacious Accomodation,Library to read ,Temple to Worship, Track for Walking, Free weekly Medical Check up,Daily Physical Excercises, Yoga & Meditation for healthy living, in a clean and green environment at a nominal cost besides love and affection showered by Lions.
In order to provide personal care and supervision to the elders who are unable to maintain themselves the Trust has costructed a Assisted Living Center for Elders at a cost of Rs.50Lakhs.
Lion Dr.P.C.Duraisamy MJF Chairman, Lions Club of Erode Midtown Charitable Trusrt and Lion Dr. Santhi Duraisamy MJF have sponsored Rs.25 Lakhs to this noble cause.
Assisted Living Center offers services such as food,housekeeping, access to medical services,medication management,bathing,dressing,laundry and transportation.
Trained nurses with trained assistants take care of these services all through 24 hours so that the elderly people could live with all comforts and dignity.
